# Sync

> Keep your addons and settings the same on every device.

Sync keeps your addons and settings the same on every device you sign in on. Only install links and settings are stored, never addon files.

### Where to find it

Open Discord's settings, go to **General** in the **Unbound** section, and tap **Sync**.

### Turning it on

**1. Sign in**

Tap **Sign in with Discord** and approve the request on Discord's authorize screen.

**2. Choose how to combine**

If another device already synced, Sync asks how to combine that setup with this device. Nothing syncs until you pick.

* **Merge both** keeps addons from both. The cloud's settings win where they differ.
* **Use the cloud's setup** replaces this device's addons and settings.
* **Use this device's setup** replaces what is stored in the cloud.

After that, **Sync automatically** is on, and changes sync on their own. Tap **Sync now** to sync right away. The line under these rows shows when the last sync ran, or why it failed.

### Sync direction

| Direction | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Two-way** | Changes on any device reach every other one. |
| **Download only** | This device mirrors the cloud. Changes made here are replaced. |
| **Upload only** | The cloud mirrors this device. Changes from other devices are replaced. |

### Signing out and deleting your data

**Sign out** stops syncing on this device. Your installed addons and settings stay as they are.

**Delete cloud data** deletes your synced addons and settings from the Unbound servers and turns Sync off on this device. Nothing installed on your devices is removed.
